These terms apply to rooms booked directly with Maiden Oval.
Your booking
A booking is confirmed once you receive a confirmation email from us. Please check it and tell us straight away if anything is wrong.
Rates shown include VAT and are per room, per night, for the number of guests selected.
Payment
The payment terms depend on the rate you choose, and are shown on that rate before you book. Non-refundable rates are charged in full at the time of booking; flexible rates are not charged then — we securely hold your card to guarantee the room and payment follows the terms shown on the rate.
Your card is stored securely by our payment provider and checked when you give it to us. We do not place a pre-authorisation or reserve any amount on it.
Cancellation
The policy that applies to your stay is the one shown on the rate you selected, and is repeated in your confirmation email.
- Flexible — cancel free of charge up to 72 hours (3 days) before arrival. Cancel after that point, or fail to arrive, and the full stay is charged.
- Non refundable — charged in full at the time of booking. No changes and no refunds.

House rules
- Pets — Not allowed
- Minimum age — 18 to check in
- Cots — Free for under-ones, on request
- Accessibility — No lift — stairs to all floors
No-show, smoking and damage
- No-show — If you do not arrive and have not cancelled within the terms of your rate, the full stay is charged.
- Smoking — The hotel is entirely non-smoking, bedrooms included, and this covers e-cigarettes and vaping. Smoking anywhere indoors incurs a specialist cleaning charge.
- Deposit — A refundable damage deposit of £60 is taken by credit card when you arrive. It is returned in full within 7 days of check-out, subject to an inspection of the room.
- Damage — You are responsible for damage to the room, its contents or the hotel caused by you or anyone in your party. The cost of repair, replacement or specialist cleaning may be charged to the card held for your booking, at the manager's discretion.
